Professional Development with Yoga Calm
Accreditations
Yoga Calm workshop participants can earn professional development credit through

- Yoga Alliance
- Occupational Therapy Boards
Application for accreditation from these organizations is your responsibility. As described below, extra fees are often required.
If you intend to be reimbursed for your tuition, we suggest that you obtain approval from your employer in advance. Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon successful completion of each course.
When registering, please let us know if you are applying for continuing education or PSU credits. That way, we can have the proper paperwork ready for you at the training.

Portland State University Graduate Credits & National Board for
Certified Counselors (NBCC) CEUs
Yoga Calm workshops are offered cooperatively by Yoga Calm and PSU Continuing Education/Graduate School of Education with the School of Extended Studies.
Teachers and counselors can also obtain CEUs from PSU. These units meet NBCC requirements for continuing education credits for counselors and MSWs, and are typically accepted in all states. We suggest verifying their acceptance with your licensing board or professional organization before you register.
Registration fees for PSU graduate credits are $50/graduate quarter hour. Though they are not included in the Yoga Calm course, you may pay these fees at your workshop.
PSU CEU fees are $20 for up to 30 transcripted CEUs. Ten instructional hours are required for 1 CEU (fractions allowed).
Washington State Clock Hours
Washington State Clock hours are also available by arrangement with the Washington School Counselor Association (WSCA). Members pay no additional fees. Fees for non-members are $1 per clock hour.American Council on Exercise (ACE) CECs
Yoga Calm is recognized by ACE as a Continuing Education Specialist. Fitness educators can receive up to
0.1 CEC for each contact hour of approved Yoga Calm workshops. ACE certification programs are also
accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

Yoga Alliance
Yoga teachers can meet their Yoga Alliance continuing education requirements by completing Yoga Calm
workshops. You can receive 1.0 CEU per contact hour. There are no extra costs.

Occupational Therapy
Selected Yoga Calm workshops can meet Occupational Therapists requirements. In Oregon, you can receive 1 CEP per contact hour. There are no additional costs. More info
