This comprehensive 10 hour workshop gives teachers, counselors and treatment center professionals tools for dealing with the increasing numbers of children diagnosed with ADHD and other attention difficulties. We uncover some of the myths of ADHD and demonstrate how Yoga Calm's suite of yoga- and counseling-based activities can complement current treatment approaches. Other topics covered include:
- What teachers, counselors and parents should know about in working with ADHD children.
- What ADHD children can reasonably control.
- De-stimulating overactive nervous systems.
- Activities that can calm a lively class and develop attention and control in students.
Through lecture, hands-on learning, reflection and discussion, you'll be introduced to yoga practices, mindfulness activities, concentration skills, relaxation techniques and social/emotional games and processes that can be used effectively in a variety of settings.
With Yoga Calm, you can provide children with a practice and routine that brings physical and emotional strength, self-control and inner awareness.
